A levelling machine is an essential piece of equipment used in construction, engineering, and land surveying to measure and adjust the elevation or level of a surface or structure. It’s primarily used for determining the difference in height between various points across a site and ensuring that surfaces are horizontal or follow a specific grade.
Optical Level
An optical level is a traditional instrument used in surveying to measure height differences. It consists of a telescope mounted on a rotating horizontal axis. A leveling staff (also called a rod) is used to take measurements at various points.
Automatic Level
This is an advanced version of the optical level. It includes an internal compensator that automatically adjusts the instrument to ensure the line of sight is horizontal, even if the instrument is not perfectly level.
Laser Level
A laser level uses a laser beam to project a perfectly straight, level reference line over long distances. Laser levels can be used for horizontal leveling or for aligning surfaces across a wide area
Digital Level
Digital levels incorporate electronic sensors and display systems to provide highly accurate readings. These systems can include GPS integration, electronic bar codes, and built-in compensators.
